If the demands of your busy lifestyle mean you can’t walk your dog as often as you would like, then Paws & Relax can help. We offer a professional and reliable dog walking service to give you the peace of mind that your dog is still getting plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

We make the walks as fun as possible taking them around parks, woodland and countryside with plenty of places to run and play in a safe environment. Your dog is then returned home happy and contented and we will provide them with fresh water and give their muddy paws a clean.

To begin with, all dogs are kept on the lead until recall skills have been established. We always use positive reinforcement methods – strongly praising and rewarding positive behaviour to discourage unwanted behaviour. Treats and toys are our most crucial pieces of work equipment!.

Group walks give your dog the opportunity to play with other dogs and can help to build your dog’s social skills. We generally walk no more than 3 or 4 sociable dogs at a time but, if you would prefer, we can arrange to take your dog on an individual walk.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility, whether you need us to give your dog regular walks or just occasionally, our services are personalised to meet your individual needs and we understand that you may need to book or cancel at the last minute, so as long as you let us know of any cancellations before 12pm the day prior, there is no cancellation fee.

Before any dog walking is carried out, we would like to arrange a meeting so that you can introduce us to your dog and we can discuss their likes, dislikes and any special requirements. We will also require your written consent should you want your dog to have some off-lead exercise. This meeting can be arranged at any time to suit you and is totally free of charge.

Whether you’ve got a cat, rabbit, guinea pig or hamster, Paws & Relax provides a professional pet sitting service so that your pets are well looked after whilst you’re away. We will visit your home once or twice a day to feed your pets, clean out any litter trays, hutches or cages and give them plenty of fuss and attention so that they remain happy and contented until you return.

With our pet sitting service you will also have the added security of having someone you trust visit your house a couple of times a day. We will make sure there is no mail sticking out from your letterbox, take out/bring in wheelie bins, open and close your curtains and water your plants too (if there’s something not already mentioned that you want us to do, just ask!).

Whilst you are away we can provide you with regular text updates to let you know how your pet is doing and we’re happy for you to contact us too.

We will bring references, insurance and police check documentation and answer any questions you might have so that you feel completely comfortable and relaxed leaving your pet in our care. This meeting can be arranged at any time to suit you and is totally free of charge.

If you have recently welcomed a puppy into your home, you may need a helping hand! Puppies need a lot of attention, loving care and patience so if you are working full time or are out of the house for long periods during the day, we can help. Paws & Relax offers a friendly and reliable puppy visiting service to ensure your puppy receives plenty of fuss and attention. During the visit we will have some fun playing games, give them plenty of cuddles and let them out for a toilet break or, if they have been fully vaccinated, we can take them for a short walk. Any messes will be cleaned up and fresh water will be provided as well as a small meal if requested by you.

Our puppy visit service is fully personalised around you and your pup, whether you need us to pop in once in a while or on a regular basis, we can be flexible and cater to your needs.
